orange you glad I didn't say banana again?

Two nights ago we went over to our friend Ann's house to pick oranges from a real orange tree. People literally grow oranges in their backyard. This phenomenon is unheard of in Missouri (duh) and so it of course was the most exciting thing in the world to me. We picked a HUGE bag full. It was neat to see the irregularities in the oranges. They aren't beautiful and perfect like the ones sold in the grocery store... but yet they taste just as sweet, if not sweeter. There is beauty (and deliciousness) in imperfection.

Yesterday Molly and I went on a harbor tour. Each visit to San Diego brings a new adventure and tourist attraction. Below is a photo montage of our day!

Molly posing like a super model. You can't tell by the photo but we were laughing hysterically between photos.

"Just do head-shots Ted!!"

Our serious side... don't mess with the Dreisingers.

Teddy and I!

Sleepy eyes unite! It is the distinguishing feature of our family.

Battleships!

A security boat guarding the battleships as one leaves for sea.

Enjoying the boat tour.

A floating hospital, just returned from Haiti.

The Coronado bridge.

The Star of India as well as another ship just that just recently starred in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

A bait boat with lots of sea lions suntanning on the deck. I guess they come for the free food.

Rental buoys. People live in these boats and pay a rent of $150-300 a month. The wait time for a buoy is 2-3 years!!

A beautiful day in sunny San Diego! Thankful for the time with Molly!
